Modify composer content

Hi,

The documentation states (here) that listeners to "compose.user_event" can be used to modify the content of the composer. How exactly can I modify its content? Are there methods to get / set the text of the rich text editor? I couldn't find any documentation or examples on this.

Thanks!

  • Your listener gets a callback every time a user presses your button.  The callback gets passed a response object.  response.returnMessage is a fxn that takes an object with a "body" member.  body is used to replace the composer's current message.

  • I take it that the subject cannot be modified... is that correct? I tried to pass the returnMessage function an object containing a "subject" member, which didn't work.
