this question is not of technical nature and probably not specific to the use of YQL. Nevertheless, very relevant, I think.
Can anyone tell how the copyright law applies to data that's available on the web and which one would make available through an Open Table?
Concretely, there's a website that has some data I want to make accessible through an Open Table, that has this copyright statement:
All rights reserved. Neither this work nor any part of it may be reproduced, distributed, performed or displayed in any medium, including electronic or digital, without permission in writing from the copyright owner.
Am I allowed to provide this Open Table, or would this be an infringement of the copyright?
And thinking further, if one would use the Open Table to access the data and make it available to users through his own webservice, how is the copyright law applied to that case?
