Server Error when upload a single update via Updates REST API

I want to access yahoo updates in widgets,
now I used these security measures
<security>
<api>social.yahooapis.com
</api>
<api>api.login.yahoo.com
</api>
</security>

I have seen this code used to access data from yahoo address

xmlBlob = '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>';
xmlBlob += '<addressbook key="' + userYID + '" contact-count="1">';
xmlBlob += newContact.toXML();
xmlBlob += '</addressbook>';

var request = new XMLHttpRequest();

request.open( "POST", "http://address.yahoo.com?v=XM&prog=Konfabulator&sync=1&tags=long", false );
request.send( xmlBlob );

x = XMLDOM.parse( request.responseText );
people = x.getElementsByName( "contact" );

it works in the contacts widget. What is the similar get or post for the social api's to add an update and view updates?

  • Hey,

    that's a pretty good question and I don't actually know. I'm going to do a little research and see if I can find someone to answer this for you.

  • Hi,

    I updated the widgets team with your question.

    Right now I don't think there is a way to do this OAuth query but their might be in the future. If there is I'm sure it would be updated on our blog.

    Sorry I don't have a better answer right now.
