Local Installer for Intranet

We want to deploy BrowserPlus to our Intranet Users where there is no internet access - we would like to place the actual application as a download on the Intranet.

How do we go about this? From the web site we appear to only be able to see the Installer.

Many thanks,

Matt Burnett

    Hey Matt,

That's fairly doable, however it might be a bit more involved. There are several web service calls that need to be made in order for browserplus to function.

if you wanted to, it would be possible to build an all-in-one installer that packaged everything, and pointed installations to a distribution server proxy, which would have to be able to reach out and hit a couple web service apis from browserplus.

If you're interested in this approach, holler and we can talk about it more, but it is a little bit more involved, obviously.

For reference, here's the partially documented WSAPI that the browserplus software talks to:
    http://browserplus.org/docs/platform/WSAPI.html

    very best,

    Hi Lloyd,

This sounds promising. I understand that the web service requests are signed, so this means it would not be possible for end users here to use BrowserPlus without a proxy that has external access? This is going to be problematic* but I'd definitely like to understand how we'd be able to build an all in one installer - i.e. where do we go from here?

*In the UK the NHS (National Health Service) runs effectively under a private network, it's problematic to get access to the internet (there is a lot of paperwork and low chance of approval).

    Many thanks,

    Matt
