Do I have to use Glneoplanet, or should I use Placemark, for finding the geocode (lat/lng) of addresses using a RESTful web service?
Furthermore, is Australia supported by any of these services?
Thanks in advance, Behrang
We have just launched our PlaceFinder Web Service (see http://developer.yahoo.com/geo/placefinder ). This web service will geocode street addresses, and return geographic coordinates as well as WOEIDs that can be used with GeoPlanet. PlaceFinder can also reverse geocode coordinates, and return the street address nearest to the input location. You'll be happy to know that all of our Geo APIs (GeoPlanet, PlaceFinder, Placemaker) support Australia.
