Pipes won't retain my anchor links inside

<http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.info?_id=4b814ac2e6afd32478541d7466bf8ac2>

In my Pipe above, I need to get it to retain the anchor links from the source feed, a google spreadsheet. The anchor links are wrapped inside the 'source' tag OK but Pipes seems to be auto removing them when I run the pipe and get it again as an RSS feed.

In preview/debugger view, I can still see (in for example the first result, 0) the 'source>a> name a' is still present

I would really appreciate any tips or input. It's a hard issue to do a search for. I need these A-Z anchor links as way for viewers of the web page to jump down to the relevant letter.

Many thanks for your time.

Dar.

  • Try using a Rename module. Rename item.source.a.name with title.

  • Hi Tobias,

First off, thank you for replying, appreciate it.

So, I've taken your advice and added the Rename module. See pipe above. This gives the RSS output the following line:

    < title >A< / title>

Of course I can repeat that step for every letter, which is great, but I still need for the following to be output by the Pipe in order for it to work as an anchor tag: < a name = "A" > < /a>

Apologies for the random spacing above, the html was being hidden otherwise.

    Thanks, Dar.

  • random spacing a

    Use the </> menu item.

    The RRSS seems buggy

Item 0 - (no title) Buggy

Item 1 - Professor Mohamed ASH Al-Rubeai [seems okay]

Item 2 - (no title) Buggy

Item 3 - Professor Alan Baird

  • I meant to say

Item 3 - Professor Alan Baird [seems okay]

And there's at least one other typo.

In a perfect wold - I could edit my post.

  • Hi ekbworldwide,

Yes the RSS feed is a little buggy. My final Pipe will strip out these inconsistencies.

Thanks for the tip on how to write code in these posts, hopefully my point was still clear. I'm not seeing the "a<uthor" issues you have pasted though.

The Pipe is functional for me. I just need for it to retain the 'a name anchor' when I output the Pipe as RSS

    Dar.
