One of my pipes is returning an error: Response: Access Denied (403). It is the most basic pipe possible, it uses "Fetch Feed" to "Output" this feed:
and here it is:
I am the server admin, and have looked at Mod Security, which I don't believe is causing this, and I do also run PHP Suhosin, which might possibly cause this, but I'm not sure. Any ideas?
I did get the YQL to run in the edit source...not sure why it finally worked after about 10 tries, but then the output shows only "null":
10:37 GMT I'm seeing 100 results.
Pipes has a 15 minute caching time, so although you changed your pipe the cache may still have been using the output (or lack of) from the previous version.
Are you still seeing problems?
As mentioned, the output for me is "0" in the pipe edit, and "Null" in the view:
I have no idea why, and others who use this pipe are having the same issue. Before they saw the 403 error, and now we see Null. Even my server logs were showing a 403 access denied error during testing with the feed the way I had it before. I have 10 other Yahoo Pipes and none have this issue.
I have no idea how you are seeing 100 results...sorry.
I am still having this issue...I've tried everything. My RSS seems fine, but my server throws a 403 Access Denied error to Yahoo Pipes most of the time, but not all of the time. I've check my server's setup, like Mod Security, PHP Suhosin, etc., but found nothing. Any last ideas?
I'm getting 403 errors for my pipes too. They have been working flawlessly until recently. I wonder if Yahoo is under serious strain for some reason... and I'm being locked out earlier than before. My pipes a run very rarely so it isn't me causing any load !!!
Yes, although they've been very patient and have responded here several times, they clearly don't comprehend the issue. I've said several times that the problem is intermittent, yet they mention that they see my feeds with no issues. I just saw it the first time I loaded it, then I refreshed and got the "null" and see the server error.
Again, other feeds on this server are working fine (they use other software like Invision Power Board), but it is only this one that triggers the 403 error on my server. A search of this forum shows lots of others who have had similar issues, yet they don't seem to be able to help me.
and they use the same Cache-Control: max-age=60, private, proxy-revalidate header, and they never have this issue. The RSS feed with this issue is an OSCommerce module I added to my store, and it never had this issue until about 6 months ago, when I moved the site to a new server. Not sure if all this extra info helps, but you never know.
My thought was Mod Security or PHP Suhosin, but I've searched those logs and can't see anything happening. The only clue lies in my Apache logs for the site which show the 403 Access Denied error from Yahoo Pipes.
