Password Field

Im trying to add a password field, one which will write ( * * * * ) when the user types in their password. Right now I just have a TextEntryButton but I need it to have that asterisk to protect the users password. I have looked in the KONtx.control section of the documentation and they dont have something like this for the password. How would I go about this?

Here is what I have for the password field
CODE
		// password field
var passwordEntry = new KONtx.control.TextEntryButton({
id: 'password-entry-button',
label: 'Password',
defaultValue: '',
styles: {
vOffset: user_pass_emptySpace.outerHeight
},
events: {
onSelect: function(event) {
log("value set!")
}
}
}).appendTo(this);

I will appreciate the help. Thanks

  • Here's what I am using

    var password_text_entry = new KONtx.control.TextEntryButton({
    id: 'pw-entry-button',
    label: $_('password'),
    defaultValue: '',
    secureMask: true,
    secureMaskType: 'mask-all',
    styles: {
    vOffset: voff
    }
    }).appendTo(this);

    There are 3 values for secureMaskType, the default, 'mask-all', and another. If you scroll to the bottom of the web page about the text button api, you can click a link to read the source.
