I tested images https within src URL. As I found that https works only with trusted CA signed certificates (like Verisign, Thawte etc) in widgets.

  • jozsoz, thanks for your reply

Ok, let's suppose I'm using a certificate signed by Verisign, how the info exchange between the widget and the https site is being dealed?
Is it done automatically by the KONtx.mediaplayer framework?, or must be done beforehand via Javascript?

    Best Regards

  • The answer to this question is multipart.

Samsung US 2009 TVs who accepted the firmware update (aka 5.2.x engine) - Supported
Samsung US 2009 TVs who did not accept firmware update (aka 5.0 engine) - Not supported
Samsung EU 2009 TVs - Not supported
    Samsung 2010 TVs - Supported

    Vizio TVs - Supported

    LG TVs - Not Supported

Sony TVs - Supported I think, need to double check

Now, as far as self signed certificates, in general this is not supported. Most certs from trusted CAs should work thought.
