Invalid appid

Hi,

After signing up for an application ID, I can't seem to get access.  For ex, http://where.yahooapis.com/v1/place/12788106?appid=H*I*D*D*E*N
I'm able to use PlaceFinder, for example with my appid but can't seem to get GeoPlanet to recognize.  Any help would be appreciated.

Tks
Michael

Make sure you are using your YDN application ID and not your project ID.  A project ID is short (less than 10 characters). An application ID is much longer (more than 30 characters).  You can find your application ID at http://developer.apps.yahoo.com/projects.

  • Have the same problem with music api. I always get "Invalid appid"

If you say "make sure to use application id and not project id" I wonder where this would be? All I have is a 8 character "application id", a long consumer key and a (not that long) consumer secret. I don't have a project id. using the 8 character application id in a curl call to e.g. http://us.music.yahooapis.com/track/v1/list/search/track/diamonds?appid leads to the mentioned error.
