Registering and handling onHideView events

How do you register to receive a call when the onHideView event is fired. We tried to follow the examples in NewTV (javascript/main.js):

$app.onProfileLoad.subscribe(function() {

});

And created a:

$app.onHideView.subscribe(function() {
myFunctionCallHere();
});

But this function DOESN’T seem to work and causes the widget not to work. Is this correct? Do we have to register/define this anywhere else?

  • That functionality isn't available in Framework 0.2.2. You need to upgrade to Framework 1.1 and then you can add a hideView() method to your view class to perform your own code on that event.

    I believe it first made it's public appearance in the 0.9.5-33 release.

    Sorry, but that post doesn't make sense.

    If you meant you are now using Framework 1.1, inside your view class you would add a hideView() method to handle the onHideView event.
