TreeView Problem Please HELP

I am creating a yahoo treeview inside a normal html div, the div is set to overflow:hidden; but when the treeview is loaded and the labels are longer than the div, they dont overflow horizontally, the labels get pushed to the left overtop of the images and expand button.

I was using a resize element for the div and thought that that might be the problem with why its not overflowing correctly, but when i removed this it didnt fix the problem. I figure yahoo puts the labels, and images inside smalled elements and that they are overlapping each other when theres no room or if you make the div smaller, but am not sure what attribute or method to invoke in order to stop this.
