After a long search I found the Yahoo Term Extraction Web Service, also to find that the service is being discontinued. Are there any other APIs or tools that I can use to achieve what Term Extraction does/did. If there are tools to categorize the terms/tags that would be great to know.
Thank you all for your input and use of the term extraction API. Even though this isn’t a heavily used API, it is a very useful tool for the developer community. Because of this fact, and that the developer community has really rallied behind this service, we are currently looking at potential ways to offer similar functionality to you going forward. We don’t have any information on this at the current time, but once we know more or hear anything we will post it here on the forums.

I started building one today. For any language also... Auto-Translation (eg., it discovers what language it is, translates to english via g translate [although i plan on diverging from API's like this into one central privatized and server-side (eg,. my server :) Thanks for discovery.
I'm trying to extract keywords from an rss feed using the term extractor.
When I began working on this pipe a few hours ago, I had results. Now, it's not working. I've had similar problems running other pipes that include the module, including the ones in the Pipes Documentation.
Is this because of a brief outage, or is this typical behavior?
