After you've had a chance to read over the APT API Reference Documents, this is the first place to look when you have questions about how to start developing applications using the APT APIs.
Please take advantage of the collaborative developer community by asking questions and posting answers.
What is "APT from Yahoo!"? APT from Yahoo! is an open invitation to developers and data partners to interact with our advertising platform and ad exchange-based technology. APT from Yahoo! brings together advertisers, publishers, ad networks, and agencies in a single system that's designed to make buying and selling advertising easier – and more profitable – for everyone.
With APT from Yahoo!, developers can build applications that interact with the platform via a collection of easy to use, thoroughly documented, SOAP-based web services. You can develop apps to efficiently manage accounts of all sizes and automate many of the tasks associated with buying and selling ads online.
How Do I Get an APT API License Key?
There are 2 types of API Licenses: Production (PROD) & Sandbox (SBX). Production keys are just that, they're intended for use on PROD after you have built and tested your application(s) in SBX. SBX keys give you access to the APT Sandbox environment.
NOTE: APT SBX does not contain sample data and doesn't have a UI at this time, so you will need to build scripts to load sample data into the system for testing purposes.
Both types require that you are an APT Seatholder
If you are not an APT Seatholder, but developing on their behalf, you will need to have your client contact their APT Account Manager to setup a time to discuss options.
Is there a Sandbox Environment for APT API users?
Yes, see above.
Who do I contact for APT API Support?
If you are an APT Seatholder, please contact your Account Manager for further details.
If you are NOT an APT Seatholder (and not working on behalf of one), please post your questions here and we will do our best to answer them in a timely manner.
