Could JSON Inspector observe browser's proxy settings

I love JSON Inspector for testing/exploration of web service APIs but sometimes the web service can only accessed through a proxy. With the browser configured to use a proxy I noticed that JSON Inspector still couldn't access such web services where the browser could

I wish that JSON Inspector -or better still Browserplus as a whole- would use the proxy settings of the browser.

    Hey again bartt,

Currently JSONInspector is written in ruby, and we're not respecting systemwide proxy settings.

All native http requests sent by browserplus use OS abstractions that respect proxy settings. So it's the case that browserplus as a whole respects proxy settings, and just services written in ruby that perform http requests do not.

The simple solution would be either to A) figger out how to get ruby to respect proxy settings, or B)lloyd
