Replace the tags with \r\n and then strip the HTML tags out of the string.

  • Thank you for the suggestion. The lead was helpful. We found that using /n is enough to effect line breaks in the content of a text grid. Using /r with /n breaks the line AND inserts an "r" character in the string display in the text grid.

Interesting... We use tis replace coming in from our servers and it works fine. Are you doing the replace in the app or server-side?

We know there are issues with the tab "\t" value coming in. Make sure to also scrub this character as well. :D

  • I think \n is the more appropriate one if you are doing this client side. If on the server side, as WidgetRealm said, I don't think it makes much different.

  • In fact our text is defined client side. Interesting that \r\n doesn't produce a "r" in the output when it comes from a server. And also interesting that <LF> and \n produce different results.
