Storage, file system, thumb drives, cf cards

I am fairly sure the answer is no, but a client we are working with added a feature to the spec for an application we are developing. The feature is "read stuff from the CF card". I didn't know you could do that with TV's, but it's a cool idea. So my questions:

1: do any OEM's provide user mountable storage like cf cards, USB thumb drives, etc?

2: are there YCTV APIs to access user mountable storage?

3: out of curiosity, any one have info on non-Yahoo! connected TV external storage capabilities; google tv? samsung widgets?

Yes, I do know other solutions exist like those discussed on the SMB thread.

No - At least not through the Yahoo platform.

The new Roku devices do. Samsung does have it in their docs, but our inquiry to them about the support has yet to be answered from a few weeks back.
