Button width in FullscreenView

Since you can't show video in sidebar view, I need to build a pseudo sidebar graphic in fullscreen view. No problem so far, but in doing this it would be nice to have the option of making the pseudo sidebar wider than the real sidebar.

If I do that, the buttons (BackButton, TextButton ,etc) won't go wider than the standard sidebar width. Is there a work-around to make the buttons wider than the sidebar width?

    CODE
    styles: {
    width: 1000
    }

    when creating the button, check documentation

    Thanks for the reply but...

    of course I tried editing styles, and have docs almost memorized ;)You can shrink button width but you can't extend past the width of the sidebar.

  • Wish I could memorize the documentation... :DTry creating your own Custom Container. We have run into this need in the past and it is pretty easy to create your own Class that looks and acts like a button, but is not limited by the Controls style limitations.

  • Also, you may want to look into how the theme's work. The KONtx.control components are themed versions of the KONtx.element components. I believe some of those themes, such as the button component have fixed widths that cannot be modified with config styles. You can create your own theme. There are several posts on how to do this. Here are a few:
