Trying to start with contacts api, a pain

Hello.

I am trying to start with contacts api, what I need is to "read" yahoo contacts.
I am reading trough the documentation but I am thinking it must be out of date or yahoo just doesn't care about making it usable. I find many users with similar problems on these forums, nobody cares to reply :|

This is the request I am making:

https://api.login.yahoo.com/oauth/v2/get_request_token
?oauth_nonce=1351092124.1164
&oauth_timestamp=1351092124
&oauth_consumer_key=djxxJmk9YVB5RUdiYU9LQ3UzJmQ9WVdrOVduWkJaM1ZITXpBzzWNHbzlOekEyT1RFNU1UWXkmcz1jb25zdW1lcnNlY3JldCZ4PTAy
&oauth_signature_method=plaintext
&oauth_signature=b261dd14407e555c13dadc0064438962bbe206fe
&oauth_version=1.0
&xoauth_lang_pref="en-us"
&oauth_callback="http://www.my-site.com/import-yahoo-callback.html"

Browser says "file not found", the headers mentions "authorization required", any ideas?

  • Looks like I need to add "%26" after the customer secret if you are doing the get_request_token and you don't have that token secret to add, so if just using the customer secret as signature, add "%26"
