With CPCL billing, you only pay for an impression when a user listens to your audio ad to completion. For example, if a user listens to your one-minute audio ad for the full minute, that impression is counted as a completed listen.
If a different user listens to the ad for 45 seconds, that impression is not considered a completed listen and you are not charged.
If you choose the CPCL billing method, you do not have the option to set the pacing and you can only choose a CPCL goal (or no goal).
A CPCL goal is defined a maximum CPM price (maximum cost per one thousand impressions) and a target CPCL price.
The DSP supports CPCL goals for audio lines.
To configure a CPCL goal:
- Choose the CPCL option in the Billing Method drop-down list.
- Choose the CPCL option in the Goal Type drop-down list.
- Specify the maximum price you are willing to pay per one thousand impressions in the Max CPM Price field.
- Specify the target CPCL amount in the Target CPCL field.
