Conversion Categories

Set up a conversion category to automatically categorize data about a particular conversion activity and track your profits for that activity. Later, you can use the data to estimate your return on ad spend (ROAS).

The following table includes some examples of how you might want to use conversion categories:

Category Description Value
Purchase A user presses the Buy button on your site. Enter 1 to count the number of purchase events, or enter an estimated average dollar value that each purchase is worth to your organization for ROAS calculations.
Sign Up A user creates an account on your site, or signs up for a newsletter or loyalty program. Enter 1 to count the number of sign up events, or enter an estimated dollar value that each sign up event is worth to your organization for ROAS calculations.
Lead A potential customer engages with your site by browsing products, “favoriting” items, or adding items to a wish list. Enter 1 to count the number of lead engagement events, or enter an estimated dollar value that each lead engagement event is worth to your organization for ROAS calculations.
Add to cart A user adds one or more items to a shopping cart. Enter 1 to count the number of items added to shopping carts (or shopping carts with items in them). Or, enter an estimated dollar value that each item or each shopping cart is worth to your organization for ROAS calculations.
App Installations A user installs an app on your site. The app installation may lead to further sales on tokens, or present other sales opportunities. Enter 1 to count the number of app installation events, or enter an estimated dollar value the app installation worth to your organization for ROAS calculations.
Others A user performs another activity that is not covered by any of the categories. Enter 1 to count the number of “other” events, or enter an estimated dollar value that the “other” event is worth to your organization for ROAS calculations.
