Yahoo! Developer Events: February – March 2010

Other than a few cold weather visits, YDN's heading south for warmer weather this February.

Dustin Whittle is heading to Paris, the city of love, on February 15-17, for Symfony Live. He will be talking about Building a Platform from Symfony at Yahoo!.

Our technical recruiters will be at the 8th annual Southern California Linux Expo (SCALE), February 19-21. We have a plethora of openings for technical Yahoos. Come by booth #46 to learn about our open positions.

Jon LeBlanc, Dan Theurer, and yours truly will be at The Future of Web Apps, Miami, February 22-24. Dan and Jon will present a short talk "Select * From Internet using YQL." On February 24 from 9-12:30 they present a hands-on workshop "Making the web your database with YQL." Our colleagues from the Paypal Developer Network offer a free afternoon workshop called "Show me the money! A workshop on how to Monetize your applications." These two workshops are free and open to non-conference attendees. Space is limited. Register now.

BarCamp Miami takes place Februrary 20-21, the weekend prior to FOWA. Look for Jon's talk on "Building Scalable Widgets with YQL and YUI."

Hack U's spring semester in North America kicks off again this month, February 23-27, at the University of Washington in Seattle. Erik Eldridge will be on hand to answer students' YQL questions and introduce Yahoo!'s open technologies.

The first India Hadoop Summit will be a dedicated track at CloudCamp Bangalore on February 28.
