Introduction to Yahoo! Developer Network at symfony Live 2010

This week I had the honor of presenting the Yahoo! Developer Network in Paris, at symfony Live, the first international symfony conference. Organized by Sensio Labs, the conference assembled more than 350 professional developers from around the world at Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris. The four day conference was packed with great information which included twenty sessions and six trainings. The conference ended with the preview release of Symfony 2 by creator Fabien Potencier.

I attended four days of great talks and trainings about developing web applications using the symfony project. My talk was about building a platform with open source and open platforms offered by Yahoo!, and how developers can leverage Yahoo! offerings (YUI & YQL) for their applications. All of the other talks are available on the symfony Live website, with video soon to be released.

Attendees got to see how the Yahoo! User Interface Library (YUI) and Yahoo! Query Language (YQL) can help them quickly develop web applications.
