At Leancamp in London this week I took the opportunity to have a lively conversation with David Heinemeier Hansson — creator of the web-framework Ruby on Rails and a partner at the web-design company 37signals .
Hansson has co-authored (with Jason Fried) a new book, Rework, which describes the unconventional business practices over the past decade at 37signals. Hansson said one of his requirements was that the book could be read in 3 to 4 hours, so that readers could then go back to work.
"We took the things that we had already learned ... and put them in the book," says Hansson. "Sort of the greatest hits of the past decade."
