WIT: You’ve had a couple of very key executive roles at Yahoo! – how did one build into the next?
Jessica: I joined Yahoo! in 2009, to run Strategy and be Chief of Staff for the VP Americas. That was a challenging and fulfilling role, but I was looking for business-line management responsibility as my next career step. After the introductory talks, we were able to wander the exhibits, admiring this beloved local artist's work. Joan Brown started painting in the '60s, and her abstract expressionist themes were proto-feminist , reflecting how she viewed herself and her role as a woman, a mother, a "cosmic nurse", a person seeking inner evolution.
