    We're excited to announce Open Hack Europe 2011, to be held on the 14th to 15th of May in Bucharest, Romania. This will be our 3rd Open Hack in Europe and Yahoo!'s 14th global Open Hack event.

    The last European Open Hack was held in London in 2009. It was a huge success with over 350 developers and designers hacking into the wee hours and producing 61 fantastic technology hacks. The Bucharest event will be the first Open Hack on the continent and we plan to make it our best yet!

    We hereby issue a call for developers and innovators from all across Europe to come to Bucharest and participate in this most awesome event! Yahoo! will provide you with everything you need to have fun, be creative and productive, and impress your peers.   • YQL, YUI3, YAP, and Geo in Amman, Jordan

    A morning with Yahoo! Developer Network in Jordan
    The Yahoo! Developer Network is excited to announce our first developer event in Jordan, on November 29, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Amman. We expect some exciting guests, to be announced at the event itself.

    This conference celebrates Yahoo!'s recent multi-million dollar deal with the largest Arab online community in the world,, which will be a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yahoo! by the end of 2010. According to CEO Samih Toukan, the leading Arab portal has some 6.5 million users out of a total of around 45 million users, in 22 countries. Toukan expects the deal to be a turning point for Arabic content in the region and to spur innovation and growth.
