Release Goals
The primary goals of this release are:
- Continue delivering a global platform: MyApps and YAP landing page now support 35 intls. Share and message templates available for 35 intls.
- New developer features and bug fixes to help developers write K-A apps for My Yahoo!.
- New features for integrations: Easier ways for Yahoo! properties to include YAP small views in their pages. Yahoo! Search Web Service can trigger an app search outside of YAP.
- Performance: You should notice some improvements in full view rendering and major improvements in small view loading times in My Yahoo!.
For developers, the most important features of this release are in the following YML tags:
- yml:include - This new tag enables your small view to trigger an xhr request to your server once the host page is loaded so you can present your users with fresh content!
- yml:message - This tag has been improved so you can customize the call to action and the destination URL. We also fixed issues that were reported by the dev community, such as the "to" field not working.
