Yahoo! Status API
Yahoo! Status API will gather and distribute the presence of a user by providing an open and easy to use infrastructure. With this information, the developer community can create relevant applications to increase their reach and engagement with users. Not only will developers be able to get the status of users on Yahoo!, but they will also be able to add the status messages to their applications and allow for users to update their status via their application.
