Status is a user's universal status message, syndicated to all of their connections and friends on Yahoo!. This status can be seen on and updated from Yahoo!'s homepage, Profiles, Mail, and the Yahoo! Mobile App, which means increased reach and engagement for your application.

In order to access Status data in your application, you’ll need to get a Yahoo! API key and configure it to use Status. You can do this by creating a project for your application.
Create a ProjectUse of the Status developer service should not exceed reasonable request volume. Access through YQL is limited to 10,000 signed calls per hour and 1,000 unsigned calls per hour, as defined in the YQL Terms of Use. If you believe your application will exceed such volume, please contact us.
