What are the Yahoo! Social APIs?
The Yahoo! Social APIs are REST APIs that enable you to create socially-enabled applications. The Yahoo! Social APIs offer the following advantages:
- Your applications can tap into the social graph of millions of Yahoo! users.
- When deployed on the Yahoo! Application Platform (YAP), applications have access to massive distribution through the Yahoo! network.
- Calls made to the APIs are secure, conforming to the authentication and authorization requirements of Yahoo! OAuth.
- The calls to the APIs are consistent. They support the same status codes, formats, and headers.
