To submit your feed to SearchMonkey:
Make the feed available over HTTP. The URL should start with "http://".The submitter uses the Yahoo! Site Explorer tool and types in a URL that they own and clicks Add My Site.
If your site is not in the Yahoo! Index, you will be prompted to submit it to Yahoo. You can follow these prompts and get your site added to the Yahoo! index. Register your feed site at Site Explorer: http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit.
If your site is already in the Yahoo! index, click Feeds in the left navigation window. Site Explorer will prompt you to add your feeds from the source URL. You can enter as many new feeds as you require.
For each SearchMonkey feed, select from the pull down menu "Structured data feed". Click Add Feed to complete your entry. If you have an OPML “index feed”, you only need to add the OPML feed, not the individual DataRSS feeds that the OPML file references.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 as many times as necessary to add your feeds.
Click Authentication and select the appropriate type of site authentication that you would like to use. When you have made your choice, click Ready to Authenticate.
Click My Sites in the left navigation when you are finished entering and validating all your feeds.
Site Explorer will submit your request to the Yahoo! index for validation and approval to the index. If your feed is incorrect, you may receive a message to repair and resubmit your feeds again. Check Site Explorer for this information.

The maximum size for a single feed is 50 megabytes or 50,000 URLs. Larger feeds will not be processed, and an error notification will be dispatched to the feed owner. To handle feeds larger than the above limit, provide an OPML "index feed" listing the URLs of one or more separate feeds that meet the guidelines for maximum size. |
