The last step of creating a data service is confirmation. Now that your coding is done, you can try out your data service in a presentation application or distribute your data service to others.
Submitting it to the Data Services Library — Makes your data service available to other SearchMonkey application developers. If a developer creates an application with a Trigger URL Pattern that matches the pattern your data service uses, SearchMonkey displays your data service as an option in the Data Services Library. Clicking this link displays the Data Services Library Submission screen:
Name — Specifies the data service's name. This provides you with one last chance to change the name before submission.
Description — Specifies the data service's description. This provides you with one last chance to add a description before submission, in case you forgot to provide a description initially.
Contact Email — Selects your preferred email address that Yahoo! should use to contact you about your data service. The list of options includes your Yahoo! Mail address and any other email addresses associated with your Yahoo! ID. This email address is not exposed to third-party developers or anyone else outside of Yahoo!, and is not used for marketing purposes. This email address is only used by the Yahoo! SearchMonkey team to contact you if there are any issues with your data service.
If you do not have any email addresses associated with your Yahoo! ID, SearchMonkey prompts you to edit your account information and add an email address.
Allow other developers to import — Selects whether you want other developers to be able to clone your data service and have full access to your code. If you leave this checkbox unchecked, developers can use your data service to build applications, but they cannot copy and build upon your application's source.
Site Explorer — Enables you to submit the data service to Yahoo! Site Explorer, which starts a process for proving that you are the owner of the site specified by your Webservice Endpoint. The Data Services Library indicates any data services that were designed by the actual site owner.

This feature is not available in the initial release of SearchMonkey. However, it is still a good idea to go through the process so that your data service will be properly indicated later on. |
— Submits your data service to the Data Services Library and returns to the Application Dashboard.
— Saves your changes and returns to the Confirmation screen.
— Returns to the Application Dashboard without submitting to the Data Services Library.
— Saves your changes and starts creating a brand new presentation application based on the data service you just built. This is similar to creating a presentation application from scratch, except that several fields in the design flow are pre-filled.
— Saves your changes and returns to “Step 4: Endpoint”.
To share your data service with a small group of your fellow developers, return to the and click your data service's button. This exports the data service to a file that your colleagues can import and modify further.
