Yahoo Stores with Mail API

I'm trying to use the Yahoo Mail API with an email account I have associated to my Yahoo Store.

My one Yahoo account has my personal email address, and two Yahoo store email address, all associated to the same user ID. In the usual Yahoo mail, I switch between these accounts to use the different email addresses. Each email address has it's own inbox/sent/trash and personal folders associated to it.

When I use the mail API, it seems I can only get to my personal account, although I've been writing a lot of code that needs access to my Yahoo Stores' email accounts. How do I get to them with the mail API?

  • HI Jim,

I am assuming these store accounts are
bizmail accounts (account having its own domain). Mail APIs does not support these types of account yet. Thanks.

  • Thanks for the quick reply.

Do you have any idea on when this might become available for Business Mail accounts? I am currently working on associating yahoo emails with the proper Yahoo Store orders for everything from tracking numbers to customer questions, but without this working with bizmail we have many weeks of code that will never work as we had hoped.

With these Yahoo Mail API's and with the Yahoo Store API's we already use, we are in the process of creating something very cool.

    Thank you,
    - Jim

I'm hoping getting the Yahoo Business Mail working with the API is going to happen soon?

As a large Yahoo Store owner, I don't understand why you wouldn't want this to happen. In the end, my company is going to write a bunch of code to improve the Yahoo Store.

  • Now that Bartz is gone, maybe Scott Thompson can help me out here?

  • So it's been almost a year, do the API's support bizmail yet?

    Thanks,
    - Jim

  • Are there plans to support Business Mail? We have built a whole application that works with this API and the Yahoo Store API
