Rate limit (per day and per second) for Y! Mail APIs

Hello,
The general Yahoo services documentation says each specific Yahoo web service will specify its own rate limit in its documentation. However, I was unable to find the rate limit for the Yahoo! Mail API. Can anyone point me to the right documentation or tell me what the rate limit for Yahoo! Mail API is? Also, let me know if there is a per second or per minute limit?

Thanks
A. M.

  • Hi Ashok,

Ratelimits are based on specific condition. Its not possible to tell exactly what the limit is. There are limits for the api key which you will be using (i guess its 5000 queries / day / ip limit) in addition to limits which you might hit on the mail servers if you do too many (can't be quantified) queries per sec. Refer this link http://developer.yahoo.com/faq/index.html#limit_hit for more info.
