Message Parts - is there a format to all this?

So when I get the messages with the method "GetMessage" it seems to come with all these parts with different "partId"s

I see the partId explained a bit here

But is there a format or something I can follow? I seem to get different results from different emails depending on who was writing me what email

  • From what I can tell so far, it seems partId isn't even worth looking at --- I'd be better off just checking the "subtype" on parts that have a "text" defined
