Opening a message within Yahoo Mail (read message)

Hi,

Are there plans to support a "read" API, such that passing in a folder name and message id would open up a new tab in Yahoo Mail with the message in question?

Similar to compose message (http://developer.mail.yahoo.com/om/docs/OpenapiPublic/Mail.html#method_compose), but for read.

Thanks,
Ib.

  • There are plans to support an API that lets you enhance how a message is rendered when the message is opened via clicking on the message list.

You can already see a coarse version of that support by looking at the message.read Application event:

    http://developer.mail.yahoo.com/om/docs/Op...nt_message.read

As far as an API to trigger opening a particular message, I'll pass that along to our developers as a suggestion.

  • Has there been any update on this question? Apparently you can cause a message to open up in Yahoo Mail if it is in the inbox, but a bug prevents it from working when the message is in a folder.

    Thanks!
