Same problem here. I really don't want to change my whole app over to google, but it seems that local.search is unreliable. Any update would be much appreciated.

This is the YQL interface to local that is broken. The underlying local search API, that YQL uses, appears to still be working:

It's still down. Any idea when this will be fixed?

This is the second time this has happened in the last few months. My app is literally being reviewed right now with the local search feature not working properly... Please help!

Does anyone know the google equivalent of yql local.search? I dont feel like i can rely on YQL anymore.

I've been trying to find something similar. Google has a Places API, which I feel like is similar, but in a developer preview stage. It's been like that since July, I found YQL after trying to get access to the Places API. I found YQL, which works perfectly, except when it gives errors. I understand something going wrong for a few hours or a day but not weeks.

This is ridiculous. local.search has been down for weeks.

I'm done with yahoo products. ive never had a problem like this with ANY of the google products.

The local.search table is working now via the console and REST endpoints.

The breakage was due to a change made in the local search API servers which has now been fixed.
