You won't need any keys to use the public data tables that do not access private user or account data. If you do need to access private user data then you will need to use an OAuth signed request (http://developer.yahoo.com/oauth) that will use a consumer key and secret that you can obtain from http://developer.yahoo.com/dashboard.
