  • Do you mean a specific clock widget on My Yahoo!? The one default time I see is the last updated message in PDT.

My clock on the task bar is correct. When Yahoo mail arrive, the time received or sent is way off by several hours(morning shows night but not just 12 hrs different - it is all over the place). It is very annoying. If you could help that would great.

  • Do you have a screenshot of the issue or more specifics? I'm not sure exactly what time you re referring to. Do you mean your own clock on the task bar? Is this some API or service you're running?

Like I was going to post to Chris, and it shows me-Sunchaser1012 saying it is 9:41am. Well it is actually 12:41 pm. The yahoo time wherever it comes from is off. How do you corrrect that?

  • I see what you mean - the time on the forum is standard to a specific time zone (I believe it's PST or GMT -08:00). If the posts all used the timezone of the particular user, no one would essentially know when a post was made.

  • Actually, it looks like it's reading as GMT - 09:00. Either Alaska time or the servers aren't adjusting for daylight savings time.

    Chris,
I think I understand what you are trying to do. The clock listed in the top right hand corner of my My Yahoo page was also showing GMT+1 time even though it used to give the correct PDT time. I accidentally discovered that you can change the time zone of your clock by doing the following:
    1. Go to the Yahoo homepage (NOT My Yahoo)
    2. Click on the little down arrow next to: Hi, YourNameHere (located a little below the clock) near the top right hand part of the screen
    2. Click on Account Info and login again if request; you will come to a page with your basic Yahoo account info
    3. Scroll down to the Account Settings section
    4. Click on Set language, site, time zone
    5. Change the time zone as desired and click Finished and return to your My Yahoo page. The new time should now be reflected.

That's it! I hope this helps.

  • If you have ATT Yahoo homepage you can do this:

    1. Go to member center at the top right hand page just under the web search box, click on member center.
    2. Under Quick Links, click open edit contact info for att net service.
    3. You may get a new screen that asks for your password, put password in then hit continue.
    4. New page comes up with box that states change personal information. Under Yahoo! Address / Contact Information click on edit.
Go to the very bottom of the page and it will have a place to change to your time zone. Change it to yours and hit Save.
    5. Close and reopen your browser.
