cool. spam is a concern, i figured if someone opted into my connection pool, sending messages via an app api hopefully should be in the future.
i have it working with the <yml:message> stuff. just be nice to also work outside the YAP sandbox for certain applications uses
Currently the OpenSocial 0.8 implementation on YAP does not support requestSendMessage or requestShareApp (http://developer.yahoo.com/yap/guide/os-supp-features.html) so you wont be able to send messages through those standard calls. For spam concerns this was not implemented and I believe setting a user presence is one of the few vitality aspects that is available at the current time.
