UI Problems:
1) Status input is not dummy clear enough for users to find it and update. I visit over 20-30 times on the same Profile page before I almost give up on finding it.
You need to add a subtle box to declare the input box. You need to put the most updated status above the input box so it is obvious that this is the update input box.
2) Advice: I would put status box above the 3 line user summary. I visit other profiles to see if they have interesting status before deciding to add them into my list.
3) Your update box didn't update when I submit the status (no AJAX update). No update even when I refresh the page. I have to click View All to another page to see my latest status.
4) Advice: I would move the Updates box where the About Me box. The most interesting area with most activities is Updates Box. I would like to Expand to view my updates on the same page. Able to allow others to add comment on my updates. You can't expand update one-line story into short story and full story in future easily within a narrow profile box with more images and richer content.
5) Advice: I would put the message input box within the mouseover popup on the Connections Box. Why would I want to leave Profile page to another message page just to send a message to a single user. I should be able to send email within the popup box with a single action.
