API for sending message in a yahoo group and on other IMSP Ids

I want to know if there is an API available to send Message to yahoo id as well as id's of other IMS like gtalk, skypee, AOL, MSN etc. I have to develop an application to send a single message to all those my knowns which are connected.

Again I want to send message on all those IDs which may or may not belongs to yahoo messenger. If yahoo provides this type of any API to use in my own application.

  • For sending mail messages to Yahoo! contacts, you may want to take a look at http://developer.yahoo.com/mail for info on sending messages.

    You may also want to take a look at the addressbook: http://developer.yahoo.com/addressbook/

    This is assuming the presence of a Y! account and the authentication of such. There was a messenger API but that has been removed from our supported APIs. I'm afraid I don't have information on sending messages through to other instance messenger systems.

    If you want to hook into yahoo mail, you can build a yahoo mail open application. See more information here: http://developer.yahoo.com/mailapplications/
