Is anyone get success to retrieve all yahoo contacts in iPhone application with API, i also faced a lot of errors and the other thing is that i am not able to get any example related to it.

Hi,

I have an application, there user can schedule their status messages. Before they schedule they want to authorize themselves to the yahoo.

What my requirement is

1. When user authorizing to yahoo, i need to store the users data and access_token to my database
2. I have a linux cron job, based on user schdule, it will update the users status message

I need to develop this app in php.

is the two abpve tasks possible? and storing the access_token is suggestable?

When the userlog inusingoauthAPI, all the credential user's put on yahoolog inwindow and then allow access on certain permissions and then we get access token, session id , guid, all contact list and presence of user etc.
but I want to know
How to get yahoo id of current log in user using any valid process. ????

If your goal from getting the mail login id (YID) is to store it in your database as an identifier of the user, it is wrong. For this you "should" use GUID and nothing else.
If that is not why you want it, please explain your needs and maybe we could come up with something.

When i loggedin with my yahoo account, it is showing some agree option after that it is showing some text like "To complete sharing of Yahoo! info with TestApp, enter code "XXXXX" into TestApp". But in the webpage it is not showing any option to enter that text thing..... And after logged in how can we come back to the App...

My app get crashed also, i figured out that is because all permissions of the app are set to None 
When i used any permission it is working with me but i just need minimum permissions to use for authentication so what minimim permission i can have??

Does this mean that the way that the parameters are URL encoded has been changed?
I have used paramType="path" in my inital test above, and it did not work, as the slashes in the parameter would get URL encoded.

I see you fixed this issue by using the execute block in your table.

response.object = request.path(item_id).get().response;

The other way to do this w/o using 'execute' is to simply change the key to paramType="path" which will insert it correctly into the path of the url.



Also - you would need to change your node back to the way you had it:

http://content.guardianapis.com/{item_id}

I want to integrate yahoo login within my application.

I am following this tutorial:http://developer.yahoo.com/social/sdk/objectivec/ but the following line does not work [sessionsendUserToAuthorizationWithCallback:nil];

The method does not exist.
I changed it to work [session sendUserToAuthorizationWithCallbackUrl:nil]; and I get a bad access error.

Any help?
