Yahoo updates

Is there a way yahoo messenger updates can be made to be specific to people you're connected with instead of all your connections. I would suggest making so you can list the contacts you want to share your updates with. Right now it seems you can only do this with connections you want to get updates from. We should also have the same option for sharing our info. Right now the options to share your info is all or none. I would find better use for it if I didn't have to share my info with all my connections. I don't necessarily want to share with all my connections because I don't have the same relationship with all my connections. Hotmail has this option but I prefer using Yahoo.
