returned data from api vs upcoming website

There seems to be a difference of the events that appear on the Upcoming.org website vs what is returned in the api calls (fewer and "less interesting / lower quality).
No api tweaking seems to give me the same results as seen on the website.
Is this documented somewhere? Are there different classes of api keys?

Which API methods are you using? There was some talk from Yahoo about the possibility of the API not having all events returned (depending on the licensing terms Y! had made with the listing providers, however, Yahoo haven't announced any changes in the data returned by the API.

I've emailed Elsa (at Yahoo) to seek clarification on this and no doubt she'll be able to offer an official update.

    Cheers

are you referring to what's posted in the pinned topic "IMPORTANT: Upcoming commercial API requests" or do you mean there is some new news about getting access to the commercial event data?
