API returning lesser Data

Hi All,

I was looking through the events on the upcoming.yahoo.com and API for San Francisco and found a huge discrepancy. The API returns around 3K events whereas the website has around 32K. Can someone please help me out with the reason here, is it

  1. Am I doing something wrong
  2. Is the API restrictive, returning over a fixed time period or something.

  • Hey Amir,

    The reason you are seeing the discrepancy is that we are no longer distributing events from content partners through APIs due to our agreement with them. Only user generated content on Upcoming is being distributed through our APIs at this point.

    Hi Elsa,

    Thanks for your response, that makes sense. While digging I encountered another issue, on the website the events have multiple occurrence but the API returns the last date of the event. Can you please throw some more light on it?
