Hi, I'm new here, and I was wondering if anyone could help me determine what Design Patterns are being used in this class diagram?
I've been given certain class relationships and I made this diagram using them. Now the next step in my work is to decide which Design Patterns are being used in this diagram. If anyone could help me, I'd be very grateful.

The Disk class is generalized from Medijum (Media).

hi am new to all this. ive just come across yahoo design patterns which has so much grate stuff i cld use for my website EXCEPT am not sure how to access it. there doesnt seem to be any coding anywhere on the page nor a download button either. ive scrolled up and down those pages for many a minutes and still havent found anything. if anyone could help me that would be great thanks.

Is there any work being done to review mobile web design patterns? It seems like the web designs are increasingly reflecting the native app UX. Is this something that you foresee getting some attention in the library?

I had to implement one of these, and initially came to the Y! Design Patterns site for ideas and best practices. It's not very often that we use these things, but I think it still deserves a solid YDP entry.

I'm interested in the use of the Calendar picker for selection of dates that might be many years from the current date. Obviously, using a Calendar picker to enter a birthdate, where the year/date was decades in the past would represent quite a number of clicks if the calendar is moving one month at a time.

Is the solution to this to bind drop-downs for "year" (and either month and day) to the Calendar, or are there any better patterns to allow for manipulation of dates along a sliding scale of granularity from years, through months and finally days (and possibly as has been previously pointed out hours, minutes, etc)?

I am looking for the pattern description on adding and removing form elements. For example, i want to find a recipe, and i want to add and remove lines of ingredients. I understand the visual design, i am looking for the content to describe poper usage and rationale. any help is appreciated.

Yes, Great catch! Thanks. The label suggests that a category contains patterns but of course some of our categories contain other categories, as you point out.

I'm having problems making distinction between a category and a pattern page.
This is a patterns collection so I would like to suggest the following improvement:

For example, if you are on this page:
http://developer.yahoo.com/ypatterns/social/people/

The text is stating "Patterns in this Category", but those entries are not actually patterns, but subcategories of patterns.

You should represent the inclusion by having the number of items contained written beside the title, something like: "Identity (2)" - this way you know how rich is the category and if it's worth entering it, and also you know that it's actually a "folder" and not a pattern.

The count is not enough, but would be better than the current implementation. Another suggestion is to visual make a distinction between a category and a pattern, with a proper icon or with another presentation style.
