IE6 == Unsupported Client

I recently upgraded to the latest BrowserPlus(2.4.9) and ever since, I'm getting an error dialog(bp.unsupportedClient) when I try to access any of my bp enabled pages(or even the photodrop demo on the browserplus home page). This same issue is showing up on 2 different computers. Here are some details:

Computer 1:
Windows XP Service Pack 2
IE Version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp.051011-1528

Computer 2:
Windows XP Service Pack 1
IE Version 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp1.020828-1920

Both were working fine before the update.

Is there a way to fallback to the previous version?

Thanks.

    Hey runarabbit,

This is pretty interesting... You say machines working fine before 2.4.9 are now considered usupported. Do you recal what version they were working with? Was it 2.4.8 or 2.3.1?

In general, we support IE6 on winxp sp2 with recent security patches. IE6 on sp2 machines that are not updated should not work.

There is, however, one "hotfix" you could try on IE6 sp1 or sp2 without the most recent os updates:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913862

So the *real* suggestion I would have would be to update these machines to sp2 with latest security patches from microsoft. Beyond that though, I'm very curious when IE6 on these machines was last working for you, in terms of time or browserplus version number.

    very best,
    lloyd

    Hey Lloyd,

Sorry for the delay. The previous version that worked was 2.3.1, and it was working as recently as 2(maybe 3)weeks ago. I mostly use firefox because I have fewer problems, but I use bp on my wifes website, and she uses ie. so, i don't find out about problems until she starts griping. :)thanks for pointing me to the specific hotfix. I'll try updating to see if that fixes my problems
