BrowserPlus Site Availability Today?

Hey Folks-

I've had a couple of instances today where I was unable to reach the BrowserPlus website. Is this something that we should anticipate occurring frequently? Is there a way for me to mirror the browserplus content on my own site (not to imply that I think I should be able to do a bettter job then Yahoo, but, just want to make sure that "community-yahoo" is given the same operational priorities as www.yahoo.com.

    Hey Marc,

    There's no concrete tools to mirror the browserplus site today.

    As far as capacity & latency, we're working now to improve worldwide coverage with more machines in more locations coming online shortly. We have a deep vested interest in ensuring that everyone on the planet has low latency access to a geographically close browserplus server.

    In the meantime, any diagnostic information you have along with your current rough physical location will help us!

  • Yo Marc,

    discovered there was in fact an east coast outage today. This is very rare for yahoo!. Explains the availability problems. We'll figure out why you weren't automatically failed over to another colo facility.
