We are building a specialized search service that need to make about 5,000 to 10,000 API calls a day to BOSS API. We found that we get blocked or no response when we make calls a few seconds apart. We had to take a 1 to 2 minute break to make the next API call. I thought the BOSS API has no rate limit.
Are we doing something wrong that is causing this rate limit to apply?
Hi Robyn, Thanks for the reply. I searched for that group and could not find anything.
We are not doing anything excessive, we only need to send 1 search query to BOSS every few seconds , but sustained, for a total of 30,000 to 60,000 queries per day. Right now, we cannot do more than 800 to 1000 queries per day. As soon as we send more than one query per minute, we get blocked.
When you clicked that link you were unable to find the group or did you mean you searched for the answer and couldn't find it? I gave you that link because the BOSS engineers hang out there, and the folks here aren't part of that team. There's a chance we may know some answers, because we've worked with the API on apps we've built, but for your question, the BOSS team needs to weigh in. Please ask this question there and they'll respond.
