YAHOO BOSS API IS TOO SLOW THAN USUAL

Hello Yahoo,
I have been using Yahoo BOSS API for a while and it was fantastic.
Now i notice a very visible delay in the response of BOSS .

The XML or json is taking little longer to deliver which inturn affects the performance of the application.


My website is www.kidsuki.com .
i get many empty responses of 32 bytes , on continous refreshes is coming correctly.

I have increased the timeout and connection timeouts but in vain .

PLEASE HAVE A LOOK , its really hurting.

  • I haven't heard of anyone else experiencing this, but I may be wrong. Can you try asking the team in their group at http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/ysearchboss/

  • Hi,

    We are in development phase of Instapress (a software which will work like Wordpress with enhanced features and utilities). I am working on Number of pages indexed for a particular domain through Yahoo API("http://boss.yahooapis.com/ysearch/web/v1/site:www.example.com). If I compare the number of results through API and direct interface, then I see a big difference between the results.

    For example, if we consider "site:www.instablogs.com"

    Results via Yahoo API-26
    Results via Yahoo Interface-20


    and for "site:www.bornrich.org&"

    Results via Yahoo API-35,526
    Results via Yahoo Interface-43,603


    The difference between these two is much more than consideration. So please help me if I am missing something or anything needs to be added. Please let me know ASAP.
